PETROLEUM POTENTIAL OF THE NYUYA-DZHERBA DEPRESSION THRUST ZONES (SIBERIAN PLATFORM)

The problem, associated with the petroleum potential of linear plicative-thrust dislocations of the Nyuya-Zherba depression is considered. Due to the geological feature complexity of territories with overlapped structure it is necessary to be guided by signs, pointing at oil-and-gas-promising areas when choosing location of a well. To highlight these characteristics the author studied the tectonic structure of allochthon linear dislocations in the Nyuya-Dzherba depression. The tension fractures formation mechanism under the influence of compression and shear-compression is examined. The structure analysis of linear plicative-thrust dislocations allowed to allocated areas of two generations of tension fractures development. These prospects should be considered as prospective zones of oil and gas accumulation in the Nyuya-Zherba depression allochthon.
