NEW UPPER-CAMBRIAN TRILOBITES OF ACROCEPHALITIDAE HUPA, 1953 FAMILY

The paper provides description of two new trilobite species, Acrocephalites schistosus sp. nov. and Acrocephalaspis maximus sp.nov., from the Chopko River section (Norilsk Region, NW of the Siberian Platform). The species have been discovered in the lower part of the Chopko Formation, referred to the Glyptagnostus reticulatus Zone of the Omnian Regional Stage. Trilobites were described with the use of Latine terms and their indices – termixes. Geographic and stratigraphic position and species of genera Acrocephalites Wallerius и Acrocephalaspis Ivshin are considered.
