V. M. Podobina

The paper presents recent data on the Late Cenomanian and Early Turonian foraminiferal assemblages from the Parusovaya area located eastwards of the Yamal Peninsula of Western Siberia. The ages of the horizons have been confirmed: the Late Cenomanian for the uppermost Uvatskian Horizon and the Early Turonian for the lowermost Kuznetsovskian Horizon. The graphic log of the Parusovaya borehole 1016 section is included, comprising the litho- and microfaunal characteristics of these horizons. A new species of the Asarotammina Genus was first established in the Turonian deposits of Western Siberia, which had previously been known only from the Holocene of the Brazilian shelf.

Key words: Upper Cenomanian, Lower Turonian, foraminifera, Parusovaya area, Western Siberia.
