GEOLOGICAL AND FACIES MODELING OF THE STOLBOVOYE PRODUCTIVE SERIES (KAIMYSOVY ARCH) FORMATION CONDITIONS

I. A. Nikitin

Construction of distribution models for Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous (J3–K1) productive deposits is carried out by well logging data, results of core data studies and seismic survey data. Long experience of geological and geophysical investigations within the territory enables the author to construct geological models of the productive strata. The models specify the spatial development of sand reservoir-beds in exploration for oil and gas. The main petroferous object of platform deposits in the south-eastern West Siberian Plate is Yu1 horizon which is represented by several sand strata. At the moment this horizon is used for oil and gas production at more than 50 fields within the Tomsk region territory. Geological field models have been constructed and itemized during long-term investigations relying on seismic survey data, exploratory drilling, well logging. Complexes of such methods as lithologic core examination, seismic morphological and seismic facies interpretation as well as electric facies ranking of facies types supplement each other, allowing the author to solve the problems of mapping and predicting traps and hydrocarbon accumulations efficiently.

Key words: facies, hydrocarbons, sand stratum, Upper Jurassic, field, mapping.
