A FORECAST OF VENDIAN TERRIGENOUS RESERVOIRS IN THE WESTERN SOTHERN-TUNGUSKA PETROLEUM REGION DERIVED FROM SEISMIC DATA

A. E. Kontorovich, V. A. Kontorovich, L. N. Konstantinova, I. A. Gubin, A. O. Gordeeva, E. N. Kuznetsova

Authors reinterpreted seismic CDP data of past years gathered in the western Sothern-Tunguska petroleum region using the W-Seis interpretive package developed in IPGG SB RAS. Time sections show reflecting horizons confined to the tops and bottoms of subplatform Riphean and mainly terrigenous Lower Vendian corresponding to the Tira and Nepa regional horizons (Oskobin and Vanavara Formations). The investigations resulted in an isopach map of terrigenous-sulphate-carbonate Lower Vendian consisting of the Vanavara and Oskobin Formations. The forecast of sand formations in the west of the Sothern-Tunguska petroleum region is based on a structure model of Lower Vendian deposits occurring in the well drilled western Baykit Anteclise, i.e. in the Osmoro oil-and-gas-bearing area.

Key words: Sothern-Tunguska petroleum region, terrigenous Vendian, reflecting horizon, Oskobin Formation, pinch-out.
