The paper provides the detailed sedimentological study of the Parfyonovo horizon sediments in the central part of the Angara-Lena Step. The depositional environments vary from alluvial plains to а mediumdeep shelf. The detailed paleogeographic schemes have been developed, showing that progradation of sandy material occurred predominantly in western as well as in eastern directions. It is determined that the reservoir properties were controlled not only by granulometric characteristics and sedimentary environments, but also to a large extent by the primary material composition and postsedimentary processes.

Key words: Vendian, the Angara-Lena Step, Parfyonovo horizon.
