RARE-EARTH ELEMENTS IN THE HOLOCENE SECTION OF THE OCHKI LAKE SAPROPEL (SOUTHERN PRIBAIKALIE)

The article considers the material composition of organogenic component of the Holocene section sapropel in Ochki Lake. It consists of autochthonous and allochthonous matter. It is shown that plankton has been an autochthonous source of the sapropel organic matter throughout the Holocene. Neutron activation analysis has established the type of the rare-earth elements (lanthanides) distribution in sapropel similar to those in ancient clay slates (NASC, PAAS).
