Mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of carbonaceous deposits within the Ikat-Bagdarin zone are considered. Carbonaceous deposits of Upper Neoproterozoic and Lower Paleozoic entering into the composition of ophiolitic complex and terrigenous deposits correspond to carbon-siliceous (lyddites), carbonclayey and carbon-clayey-carbonate formation types. Silver and palladium mineralization is represented by hessite, altaite, native Ag, polarite Pd(Pb,Bi). The age of metamorphic uraninites in carbonaceous shales of the Sivokonskaya Formation corresponds to 496, 542 Ma (Kiro site) and 516 Ma (Ilkokhta site).

Key words: carbonaceous shales, noble metal mineralization, uranium mineralization, Ikat-Bagdarin zone, Western Transbaikalia.
