NOBLE- AND RARE-METAL MINERALIZATION IN CENOZOIC COALIFEROUS DEPOSITS IN THE SOUTHERN FAR EAST/div>

We performed system studies of parageneses and lateral conjugation of peat and gold accumulation areas as well as the regularities of noble- and rare-metal mineralization in Cenozoic coaliferous deposits in the south of the Russian Far East. We chose the Zeya–Bureya basin for the study because it and the adjacent areas are rich in coal and gold and have no analogs on the eastern margin of Eurasia. The age parageneses and lateral conjugation of areas of peat and gold accumulation are evidence for the large-scale interrelated Cenozoic processes at the boundary between the Zeya–Bureya basin and provenances. The accumulation of noble, trace and rare-earth elements in coals is mainly due to the concentration function of coal-forming plants and the barrier concentration function of the peat and brown coal organic matter.

Key words: coal, noble metal, trace and rare-earth element.
