ASPECTS OF STRATIGRAPHY AND FORMATION CONDITIONS OF PROTEROZOIC BODIES CONSIDERING THEIR GOLD CONTENT (SOUTHEASTERN ALTAI-SAYAN REGION)
A. B. Gintsinger, M. K. Vinkman
Study of gold potential of Proterozoic and Lower Cambrian formations are extremely significant nowadays, foremost, for the economic development of Russia. The southeastern part of the Altai-Sayan region is one of the most promising in this regard. The authors succeeded in both specifying of the Paleozoic and Lower Cambrian stratigraphy of the region and revealing of lithostratigraphic datums directly associated with a gold content. Those are lithostratigraphic units, such as the Balyktyg-Hem, Chartys, Chinge, Mugur, Kuskung, Omgesh, Kolpa, Irbitei, which contain thick black carbonaceous shale formations associated with the gold potential mentioned above. The paper comprehensively considers paleogeography aspects of deposits formation, including those directly depending on geodynamics in promising regions and climate. The authors claim that it is reasonable to carry out extra research aimed at revealing of the most promising regions to host gold-bearing deposits.
Key words: Proterozoic, Lower Cambrian, gold content, formation, shales, break, sample, geodynamics, stratigraphy, paleogeography.
