SUBSURFACE PRESSURE GAS OUTBURSTS AS A BASIS OF THE LANDSCAPE-GEOMORPHOLOGICAL METHOD IN SEARCH FOR DIAMON DIFEROUS KIMBERLITES IN CLOSED REGIONS, ITS ECOLOGICAL SIGN INICANCE AND REFLECTION IN THE YAKUT OLONKHO EPOS
V. A. Epifanov, Yu. I. Loskutov, V. A . Minin
The paper considers the issues connected with “cold” subsurface pressure gas outbursts. It also mentions that the landscape-geomorphological method that is based on the gas outbursts model is effective in searching for diamonds. It was proven that the method should be integrated in search and prospecting activities, first of all, within closed territories of the Vilyuy-Markha kimberlite-controlling zone. The authors revealed clear linear structural pattern of the zone north 236° west and its transplatform spread. It was stated that the line connecting the Upper Muna, Daldyn, Alakit, and Morkoka diamondiferous kimberlite fields crosses the Tunguska explosion spot and the Chadobets massif. The richest-for-diamond placer fields in the southeastern part of the Tunguska province occurs in the crossing zones of four revealed main lines in the Vilyuy-Markha zone and deep-situated meridional permeable zones of the Transasian superlineament. The analysis of the Yakut epos gave an additional substantiation approving the landscape method application in surveying of the Central-Siberian and Tunguska diamondiferous subprovinces and showed the catastrophic nature of gas outbursts that occurred in the region. The geological and ecological aspects of these outburst events were highlighted based on specific examples of the recent spontaneous pressure explosion gas outbursts and the epos analysis data. The authors recommend integrated task-specific research on spontaneous gas outbursts.
Key words: landscape-geomorphological method, placer deposits, diamonds, kimberlites, Vilyuy-Markha zone, pressure gas outbursts, Yakut epos, geoecology, biosphere and technosphere catastrophes.
