The paper describes a technology of 3D modelling of the Siberian Platform sedimentary cover by applying the GeoDepth (Paradigm Geophysical) software. The approach is based on the creation and matching of three components: depth maps of major lithostratigraphic boundaries, fault planes, and traprock bodies. At the first stage, these three components are studied based on 2D modelling, and further are matched in 3D models. The components are modelled based on deep drilling data. The authors suggest their own approach of structure mapping by the methods of geostatistics, followed by probability estimate. The model proposed is used when interpreting CDP seismic data in the Irkutsk Geophysical Branch of Rosgeologiya.
Key words: CDP seismic survey, 3D geological modelling, hard model, geostatistical approach, regional structure maps, traprock modelling.
