METHODS TO ESTIMATE THE EFFICIENCY OF SURVEY AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOLID MINERAL RESOURCE BASE IN THE SIBERIAN FEDERAL DISTRICT

The paper describes the methods of feasibility study of the development of solid mineral deposits, developed at SNIIGGiMS. The author determined further directions of the methods improvement, with the aim of estimating the investment attractiveness of the territories of interest, investment risks and return on investment, determining zones with the most stressful ecological, social, or economic situation, and estimating the actual cost of geological exploration. The map of investment projects in the Siberian Federal District is given as an example. The map enables making strategic decisions at a regional scale based on a huge scope of information represented in an integral way suitable for decision-making.
