PROBLEM OF THE CONTINENTS LOCATION STABILITY OR THEIR MOVEMENT THROUGH THE EARTH PLANET

Geological and geophysical characteristics of the northern Eurasian continent and adjacent territories of the Arctic Ocean have been analyzed. Their mutual similarity has been substantiated. Special attention is paid to regional linear zones such as the Gakkel Ridge on shelf and the Verkhoyansk Range on land. The nature of the opposing directions to both modern magnetic poles in contiguous layers of the section has been explained. The conclusion of the historical stability of the continents location on the earth surface has been substantiated.
