New data on foraminifera from the well section of the western slope of the Yamal Peninsula in West Siberia give an opportunity to clarify the biostratigraphy of the Khanty-Mansi horizon of this region. Two Albian substages have been identified at the Bovanenkovskaya area according to foraminifera assemblages: Ammobaculites fragmentarius, Gaudryinopsis filiformis (middle substage), Ammotium braunsteini, Verneuilinoides borealis assanoviensis (upper substage). Albian assemblages from well sections of the Yuzhno-Russkaya area are given as typical ones for comparison, they are also confined to the northern region of the West Siberian Province. Many of the discovered taxa are common species, subspecies or vicariants (substitutes) with those of the Trans-Urals and have similarities with the Albian taxa of Canadian province (Northern Alaska, Canada).

Keywords: foraminifera, Albian, West Siberia.
