ON THE USE OF NEURAL NETWORK ANALYSIS METHODS IN PETROLEUM GEOPHYSICS

S. K. Turenko

Industrial University of Tyumen, Tyumen, Russia

The article discusses the issues of increasing the efficiency of using neural network analysis (NNA) methods in petroleum geophysics. Brief analysis of the development history of NNA technologies as well as the use of NNA for solving problems of petroleum geophysics is given, the state of various types of support for solving problems in petroleum geophysics using NNA methods (mathematical, technical, software, methodological, information, personnel) is characterized; existing experience in using NNA methods to solve problems of petroleum geophysics is discussed. Based on the analysis of the problem, promising directions for improving the efficiency of using neural network analysis (NNA) methods in petroleum geophysics are determined. In particular, when developing and using software, it is proposed to change from NSA methods to technologies for buildup and solving problems in petroleum geophysics using NNA with IT support for all software elements.

Keywords: petroleum geophysics, digitalization, neural networks, neural network analysis, system approach, neural network analysis technology.
