The technologies used in the study of reflections from the Upper Miocene-Pliocene interval of terrigenous sedimentary deposits (Nutovsky horizon) on the shelf of Sakhalin Island are presented. They are attribute analysis and inversion transformations. A specific example shows their capabilities in constructing models of target geological objects, as well as the effectiveness of using the constructed models during production drilling. An analysis of the constructed seismic-geological model of the field and its confirmation in the process of production drilling of a horizontal well was carried out. For better understanding the characteristics of the target object, the article provides an overview of the geological structure of the study area.

Keywords: Sakhalin, Odoptu-Sea field, attribute analysis, acoustic inversion, forecast maps of reservoir properties, seismic geological model, production drilling of a horizontal well.
