The algorithm of an automated geosteering and geosteering spectrum for optimizing the construction of geosteering models is characterized. An automated geosteering uses the Nelder – Mead algorithm to determine the best angles of the structure inclination, where the average absolute error of convergence of synthetic and actual loggings is used as an objective function. Additionally, the algorithm of geosteering spectrum is described, it is used for determination of the marking horizon probabilistic position in the section. The algorithm uses the average absolute error and energy distances to define the convergence criterion of synthetic and actual loggings in the section.
Keywords: horizontal drilling, geosteering during horizontal drilling, automation of the geosteering model setting, Nelder – Mead algorithm, average absolute error, energy distance.
