Based on the deep drilling data and regional seismic surveys in the junction zone of the Baykit anteclise and the Kureyka syneclise, the correlation of Riphean sections was performed and the distribution map of Riphean formations on the pre-Vendian surface was compiled. Four zones promising for prospecting for oil and gas accumulations in the Riphean complex were identified. The Katangskaya zone abuts the northwestern border of the Katanga PR; the Chunskaya zone is located in the south of the Central Tunguska PR; the Tychanskay zone is projected along the western flank of the Angara-Kotuy regional trough, north of the Yurubchen-Tokhomo zone, and adjoins the northeastern border of the Baykit PR; the Argish-Chunkinskaya zone is allocated to the north of the Tychanskaya zone, it extends along the southwestern border of the Central Tunguska PR and includes a small site in the area of the Chunkinskaya 282 well, belonging to the South Tunguska PR according to oil and gas geological zoning.
Keywords: Baykit anteclise, Kureyka syneclise, Riphean, petroleum potential.
