The oil content of the Bazhenov Formation, sedimentation conditions, features of catagenetic changes in the productive interval, evolution of tectonic development and generation of hydrocarbons in the northern part of the Nyrolka megadepression and adjacent territories are comprehensively analyzed. Sedimentation and postsedimentation features of the textural heterogeneity formation, including peculiarities occurred during tectonic development of the territory, contributing to fracturing and formation of fractured-porous reservoirs are described. The neotectonic stage is shown to be decisive for the formation of oil accumulations in the Bazhenov Formation. The determined oil-bearing zone of the Bazhenov Formation crosses the megadepression in the sublatitudinal direction from the western flank of the South Nyrolskaya mesodepression to the northeastern flank of the Nyrolskaya megadepression. Fluid dynamic modeling of reservoir pressure drop sites within the indicated zone will make it possible to localize targets of prospecting and evaluation for identification of oil accumulaions in the Bazhenov Formation.
