EQUIVALENT ACQUISITION GEOMETRY IN RT-CDP

It is generally recognized that the acquisition density determined by fold per unit area (profile length for 2D) is the most important parameter of the acquisition geometry. An equal density value can be obtained with a different ratio of densities distribution of shotpoints and geophone points. The analysis of optional versions for an acquisition system equivalent to solving the problem of media seismic imaging is important from the point of view of productivity and cost of field seismic work. Studies of this issue have been carried out for 2D acquisition systems determined by a simpler data structure and, significantly, higher prospects for production testing of the results.
