The prospects of the Fore-Yenisei sedimentary basin are assessed with respect to the CCS project implementation. In the geological section of the region under study, seven potential reservoirs of the Cambrian (Lower Oksym, Tyya, Uррer Kolchum, and Eloguysky) and Vendian (Poyginsky, Kotodzhinsky, and Raiginsky) have been revealed in the eastern part of the basin, while in the central and western regions Cambrian sediments are mainly composed of fluid-impermeable rock masses, and the major potential is related to the Upper Proterozoic strata. The temperature and pressure underground conditions show that the carbon dioxide will take place in the supercritical state in target promising horizons over the whole territory of the basin. Key factors determining prospects for the implementation of CCS projects are structure-facies features characterizing the quality of reservoirs and zones of development of fluid-impermable strata.

Keywords: geological arrangement of carbon dioxide, CCS projects, Vendian-Cambrian complexes of the West Siberian basement, Fore-Yenisei sedimentary basin, West Siberia.
