POTENTIALITY OF USING GEOMETRIC REGULARITIES FOR PREDICTION OF GOLD DEPOSITS

G. I. Dyachenko, G. E. Aseev

Novosibirsk State Technical University, Novosibirsk, Russia

The geometric description of distribution of gold deposits in the Yenisei Ridge, gold and molybdenum deposits in Eastern Transbaikalia, and adjacent areas of China is completed. It is shown that in both cases, the locations of deposits can be described by the systems of concentric circles with radii that are multiples of 1.41. Gold ore systems are zonal: ores from deposits in the central zone contain only antimony minerals; ores in the middle zone are distinguished by the greatest diversity of the mineral composition, while distal deposits (farthest from the centers of the systems) are low-sulfide, essentially quartz-bearing. A generic feature for all ore deposits is variable abundance (decreasing from the center of the system towards its periphery) of minerals (pyrite, arsenopyrite, lead and zinc sulfide) characteristic of most ore deposits. The structures are noted for their stable forms. The parameters of such systems determined by the relative positions of the known deposits allow substantiating the location of the most promising sites within areas identified by the conventional methods.
